GENERAL

Do you make everything yourself?

Unless otherwise specified, every piece is completely designed by And Here We Are. As for production, we do letterpress, hand paint, and draw as much as we can here in the studio. Of course, as much as we love to do things with our own two hands, it always depends on the limits of timing and capabilities. We promise to let you know upfront if we plan to send your project out for production somewhere else- and don’t worry, we work with a select group of preferred vendors that we know and trust.

 

SHOP

How long will it take to get a customized item from your shop made?

Generally speaking, you will receive a proof of the customized artwork within 7-10 business days. Once approved, the item will go into production. The production time depends on the type of item and will be listed on the item’s shop listing.

 

How long will it take for my order to ship?

Because we are a small company, shop orders will be processed within 2-4 business days. We ship via USPS ground, but rush shipping is available.

 

Can I cancel or return my order?

Non-customized orders can be cancelled, returned or exchanged within 14 days for complete refund. Once in production, customized orders cannot be cancelled and can be returned only in the case of defect. Customized orders cancelled before going into production will be refunded 50%.

 

ACCOUNTS

Do I have to create an account?

No, you do not have to create an account to purchase items from And Here We Are; just choose “check out as a guest” at checkout.

 

Can I delete my account?

Yes, you can delete your account at any time.

CUSTOM WORK

What kind of custom work do you do?

We currently work on all types projects; from social stationery— including wedding suites and save the dates, birth announcements, shower invitations, party invitations, holiday, gift & thank you cards— to small business identity systems, websites and lots of hand-lettering and illustration. We have a limited number of hands, so please contact us with plenty of time before your event.

 

Can I order samples?

Of course!  Email us to order samples. A small shipping fee may apply.

 

How long does it take to design a totally custom invitation suite or small business identity?

For invitations, we recommend getting the design process started at least 4 to 5 months prior to your mailing date.

  • We recommend that you mail your Save-the-Dates 5-10 months prior to your wedding date.
    5-7 months is suggested for weddings with few out-of-town guests, 7-10 months is suggested for lots of out-of-town guests or destination weddings.
  • We recommend that you mail Wedding Invitations 6-8 weeks prior to the wedding date.

Business identities can take anywhere from 1-6 months (or more), depending on several factors.

 

We want a totally “us” custom invitation, but where do we start?

First, check out our Pricing & Process page to see if we’re right for you. Then, fill out and return our wedding paper questionnaire to get the conversation started!

 

Will you turn my custom project into a template for someone else?

In order to keep costs down, we stipulate in our contract that custom artwork made by And Here We Are is the intellectual property of And Here We Are and therefore it is possible that your custom work could become a future template*. However, it is much more likely that just that a part of your custom project or an unused version will be made into a template piece. If you would prefer not to share your custom artwork at all, not a problem- just let us know at the signing of your contract; please note that there will be a small fee for the rights (relative to the size of the project).

*This does not apply to logo, identity or branding work.

 

Can I use your custom artwork on my other wedding pieces?

When you buy custom artwork or contract a custom project from And Here We Are, you are purchasing specific pieces; the rights to the artwork still belong to us. Therefore, we strongly discourage taking apart our artwork on your own to bring to an outside vendor. If you think you might like to use any price of the artwork for another project with a different vendor, let us know and will be happy to prepare a print-ready jpeg or PDF of whatever you need and include the rights to it in the price.
